The flag of the Kyrgyz Republic

It was adopted in 1992; red color of the flag symbolizes valor and courage. Sun represents peace and warmth; its 40 rays - the 40 largest Kyrgyz tribes. Yurt’s image – is a symbol of the motherland, brotherhood and peace.

 

The national emblem of the Kyrgyz Republic

The national emblem was designed by A. Abdraev and S.Dubanayev and approved in January 14, 1994 by Jogorku Kenesh (national parliament) resolution.

There are Issyk-Kul Lake and Ala-Too mountains on the background in the center of the emblem, the sun rises over it, the image of a white eagle with outstretched wings - it is a gyrfalcon of Manas- Ak Shumkar that symbolizes freedom and independence of Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan – is the heart of Central Asia, more than 90 percent of country is occupied by mountains, eternal snows and glaciers cover about 4 percent, which is about 8000 square kilometers, it contributes for a unique climate, and thus creates a special natural landscapes. Snow-capped Ala-Too is replaced by mirrored surface of lakes, alpine pastures by poppy fields. Kyrgyz territory held three branches of the Great Silk Road, hundreds of caravans brought not only a variety of goods, but also religion, culture and knowledge. Great generals - Alexander Macedonian, Tamerlane built here their bets. Hundreds pilgrims visit thousands shrines, sacred Sulayman mountain that situated in three millennial city Osh, and the sacred Issyk-Kul  lake, which is called the "Eye of the planet."

Historical and cultural monuments of different periods reveal their secrets - Burana Tower, relict nut forests - Arslan Bob, Tash-Rabat, Manas Kumbez, Cultural Center "Ruh Ordo" named after Ch. Aytmatov and many others. Each of them tells wonderful beliefs about the features and wonders of these places.
